Don’t Hide Your Pride #beinnogized
With around 100 employees, innogy participated for the first time in Cologne on Christopher Street Day in July, setting an example for visibility. Over 1.2 million people are said to have stood on the 4.5 kilometer route.
They were pink, green, red, dark blue and purple: the innogy employees roamed the city center of Cologne with colorful T-shirts and balloons. Instead of a large petrol truck, the company’s electric vehicles have been driven through the city in an environmentally friendly and emission-free manner.
A total of 166 groups took part, 40 percent more than in the previous year. Every year since 1991, hundreds of thousands of people in Cologne have been demonstrating that gays, lesbians, bisexuals, intersex and transgender people are treated as equal and socially acceptable.
